Job Summary
ANC is recruiting candidates for a diversified industrial conglomerate headquartered in Lahore, Pakistan. They’re seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to manage and oversee the procurement activities for all its business units, including Sugar, Textile, Engineering, Head Office, and Farm House. The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering degree with at least 5-7 years of procurement experience in the Sugar industry.


  • Create and review opportunities to implement best practice purchasing policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve business performance and deliver best value and business savings.
  • Ensure purchasing policy, guidelines, and any associated documents are in place and updated when required.
  • Procure materials, equipment, and services for all business units of

the conglomerate, and ensure timely delivery of required items.

  • Negotiate and manage contract terms with suppliers to ensure value for money, quality standards, and delivery terms with technical and operational input from stakeholders.
  • Arrange quotations, request for proposals, tenders and manage documentations related to comparative statements, purchase orders, and work orders, etc.
  • Regular visits at suppliers’ premises/shops, markets, and group production sites in order to keep oneself updated with the latest trends.
  • Technical assessment of material demands raised by the operational units and suggestions for better alternatives.
  • Ensure outside manufacturing jobs are aligned with the technical drawings provided by the technical team.
  • Source, communicate, and negotiate with foreign suppliers and prepare import and custom clearance documents.
  • Supervise the procurement team and delegate tasks to it.
  • Monitor and manage the inventory levels of materials and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
  • Analyze make, hire vs. buy decisions.
  • Ensure timelines are met as agreed for seasonal material demands and smooth running of the operations.
  • Provide management reports, key performance data, and research reports related to technological advancements in the group industries.
  • Conduct cost analyses and compare actual material costs with budgeted costs bided to clients.
  • Work closely with the company legal department to make sure contracts and terms are favorable.
  • Perform other related work as assigned.

Job Description

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable institution.

5-7 years of relevant procurement experience in the Sugar industry.

  • Excellent communication, research, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to communicate with technical team, contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Familiarity with markets and procurement sources related to Sugar industry.
  • Knowledge of the latest technological advancements in Sugar industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in managing a procurement team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs300,000.00 - Rs400,000.00 per month

  • Lahore: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
